Benefits of Membership

Subscription to Between The Bricks! Only $5.00 yearly to non-members for paper edition, free with membership. Online edition (in PDF) is free to all.

The Supers Technical Association of New York is a regional technical society dedicated to the promotion of excellence in building operation and maintenance. As a member, you will join a community that feels strongly about the same things you do.

Although you will enjoy the maximum benefits of membership by attending meetings, and we strongly recommend it, such participation is not required.

Voting membership includes a free subscription to the Club's monthly newsletter, "Between The Bricks" and the right to vote for Club officers.

You will participate, at meetings and through the monthly newsletter and this website, in a forum for learning by exchanging ideas, sharing experiences, and making professional connections.

Very few persons outside of building maintenance workers themselves recognize that the job of the building super in New York is often difficult, requires ever greater specialized education, and that there are rarely enough hours in a day in which to accomplish needed tasks.

Welcome to the Club
Soon after submitting
the form on this page, you will receive a "Welcome to the Club" email acknowledging your membership and providing you with the mailing address to which you may send your dues payment. Your check may be made payable to:
Superintendents Technical Association; or simply: Supers Tech Association, and send to:

Superintendents Technical Association
Attn: Peter Grech

Alternatively, you can bring your payment to the next Club meeting. Our meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM (except December) at 25 Chapel Street in downtown Brooklyn. Consult our calendar for further Club meeting information and directions.

PayPal is back and you can also use that to join or Renew. See PayPal buttons above.

Why join the Supers Technical Association of New York? Because the Club will help you acquire knowledge in areas in which you feel deficient, you will further your marketable skills, feel more confident on the job, and you will do better for your tenants and your landlord because of your new knowledge. Let us know what you would like to learn at Club meetings.

By becoming a member of the Supers Technical Association of New York, you'll join a community of people passionate about the same things that you care about. You'll have a forum for exchanging ideas, sharing stories, and making new friends.

You'll enjoy the prestige of belonging to the first technical society of multifamily building maintenance personnel. And by joining now, you become a member of an organization that is gaining a national reputation.

Also, you'll carry the membership card that shows you are engaged in life-long learning to achieve excellence in your profession and you will network with other members (members helping members).

Who should join?

1. Building superintendents, handymen and porters who want to excel in their jobs. With your suggestions and help, we will find the topics of interest about which YOU want to learn more, and concentrate on them.

2.Vendors of supplies and services to residential buildings are welcome to join as Associate Members, networking with other vendors and with building maintenance personnel who, in many cases, influence the selection of products and services.

3. Building Managers and Co-operative Board Members who want to be educated, or who want their building employees to be educated, in all facets of building maintenance, dealing with residents and working with managers.

Join us as a full member (includes a subscription to Between the Bricks!) If you will pay by check or cash, print out a membership form here, and mail it with your check or bring it to the next meeting.
